Faced with the risk of decommissioning vineyards, the Grand Est Agricultural Cooperation has developed, in partnership with France Valley, SAFER and SGV, a land asset specific to Champagne to help farmers maintain their committed areas. In 2022, six farmers benefited from this scheme for a total surface area of 6 hectares and 66 ares. It is important to stress the key role played by cooperatives in supporting winegrowers, developing well-known brands and maintaining distribution. Governance issues are crucial in ensuring the longevity of these structures, regardless of their size.
