Acquisition of Bois des Brosses

Learn more about Bois des Brosses, acquired last week by GFI France Valley Forêts I

Located on the edge of Aube, its 100 hectares offer beautiful oak clusters with quality sought after by local sawmills. It also contains accompanying species such as cherry, maple and sorb. This property, some plots of which still bear the scars of the 1999 storm, will be managed to ensure the future of the forest stands. Cuts promoting the development of natural oak regeneration and planting by enriching various species will be carried out, while maintaining the cover of mature trees. A proportion of the overall surface area (5% to 10%) will also be left to grow naturally in order to increase the forest's biodiversity hosting capacity.
