At the initiative of Vanina Paoli-Gagin, Senator and President of the Aube Forestry Municipalities, the 2023 Finance Act made the forestry municipalities eligible for sponsorship. They can now receive donations from taxpayers and businesses to finance investments in their forests, thereby contributing to their sustainable management.

As the work to foster biodiversity and combat climate change cannot stop where a private forest adjoins a public forest, France Valley wanted to show its support for this scheme by financially contributing as a patron. Arnaud Filhol, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of France Valley, was invited to testify before the Senate at the conference that launched the scheme.
